You know it's the day before Thanksgiving at our house when the site below is what waits behind the shower curtain (frozen turkey, in a bin full of cold tap water, shower head set to trickle):
As for the turkey thawing ... we ended up having to hold it down with a crock-pot to keep it under the water because it kept floating, but yeah that's the way we roll around here ... 8-12 hours under the running tap and it's nicely defrosted and ready to go back in the fridge .... AND no one's ever gotten food poisoning yet! :)
