Today Creeg and his band showed up and messed around with the gas line so that we'll have gas coming to the dryer in the laundry closet. We're still here - without any explosions - so I guess that was the first good thing about the day. Then, this afternoon my dad and I managed to plot out and plant our 15 Goldfinger Potentillas. I would have taken a photo, but the sun was going down too much for the camera phone to produce a good pic, and besides .. there really isn't much to see - they're very small still. But someday they'll look like this:

Tomorrow we have 14 Mountain Laurels to do the same hedge-measuring dance with. There's also a Royal Paulownia tree and a ton of bulbs waiting to be planted. And tomorrw should see the arrival of our 5 fruit trees, and possibly our 3 Emerald Green Thujas.

Aaaah, Mountain Laurels. My favorite flowers.

My grandma's old laurel bush died last year. I was almost as torn up about the bush dying as Grandma dying. Almost.
